fantastic meat and fantastic long latency

My visit to the MASH was at once right good and rather poorly.

Let's start with the good: the meat (I got Danish ribeye) was really fantastic and it is obviously the most important thing. Free Tern and bearnaise was also good, and we also got some spinach and roasted mushrooms were perfectly OK, but maybe just expensive enough. In a good and not very expensive bottle of wine - and a very expensive bottle of water.

And so to the poor. I had ordered table just under one month in advance and we arrived at exactly 18:30. Here was a friendly servant to our jackets, confirmed our reservation and asked us to wait for a moment at the bar. There was no room, so we stood on the floor. Here we were allowed to stand very long, while other guests who arrived after us were led into the restaurant. When we asked the waiter if we had forgotten we were first told that everything was booked. When we protested that we had ordered tableWas modest (somewhat patronizing) that tableone just had to be prepared. Finally (at 18:57, said my watch) led a big smile serves us down to our table without any apology or explanation. the service thence was otherwise OK. I sDKKev post a message to MASH and regretted me - I got a reply back from booking that they would send it on to the restaurant manager, who would investigate further but I never heard more from them.

Wait ruined it a little for us. If you try to ignore it, it was fine, but also no revelation. Altogether 1000 DKK for two people at an evening without big gestures - not unreasonable in relation to meat quality, but personally I'm maybe just more of a second restaurant experience - at least I think that my overall get more out of the same money on Scarpetta, Auberge, Nena or one of the many other places where there are several small servings and diversifying.

But it is obviously a matter of taste. Contrary to their bad handling of the waiting customers!

Best steak ever

A sovereign concept!
Furnishings are implemented: Dark brown shades, mirrors, palisanderbåse, brown leather sofas and round brass lamps, spreading a soft light in the room. Attention, young and fresh service.
And most importantly, the meat was fantastic! I got a huge 400g steak served in splendid isolation on the plate and a portion thereof leeDKKe chili fries. The only green on the plate was a sprig of rosemary, which proved most was for show. In other words: This is not a place for vegetarians or other people with a penchant for health food!
Steak was perfectly cooked: A grilled, crispy crust and a juicy, pink and tender inside. That their knives are more daggers - heavy, long and jagged, making certain not experience worse!

Price: ~ 350 DKK of steak, fries, sauce and beer. It was worth every penny!

Good steaks and international good vibes

MASH is not just a fancy place - it is also a good place. Great steaks and beautiful international offices. Clearly worth a visit.

Lovely large steaks - just like in Texas ...

It's nice that it finally possible to get a decent steak in Copenhagen. Super tasty, delicious accessories, powerful wines. It is not yet I managed to understand how on earth I must find a place in the stomach also to eat one of desertion are.

Although meat!

Porterhouse steak'en is good for two hungry boys, and the tenderloin side is the best meat I ever tasted. Soft as butter and more tasteful than any other beef tenderloin I've ever tasted!

I think the green accessories (this time Caesar salad and fried mushrooms) was excellent, and especially thyme / garlic sauce was super.

The only thing I was really disappointed was the potato committee: Ferrets, chili fries, onion rings and then just macaroni & cheese. Missing after I think baking potato and like a 'potato of the day' such as new potatoes. I know good it must be American, meeen I feel sorry for the cow that it must be adjacent to some ordinary fries.

Superior meat, uneven service

MASH is relatively newly opened, so I wonder if they get a grip on the uneven service, which meant that our entire table got something different than we ordered. Or that my 1.2 kg bone-in rib-eye (yes, I ate it all) details were well done than medium rare. But the meat ... meat is scary good. Although it had been too much heat.

With so qualified owners may not be the meat in the price range really fried or waiter becomes offended when you ask to get served what you ordered. But I have confidence that it swings next time I'm there. For MASH must clearly have a chance more when I get kødsulten almost time.

fantastic meat

After having experienced an average steakhouse on a trip around the U.S., both in terms of price (which is probably an unfair comparison) but heavily quality, so it was wonderful to experience a place like MASH.

Price wise it is up by other good steakhouses, but the quality of the meat is far above what you normally experience.

I got a 300g NY strip cooked perfectly as requested and accessories coarse chips, bearnaise, fried mushrooms with bacon and creamed spinach was top notch.

The place is decorated as a classic American diner booths with red leather seats and there is plenty of room at the tables.

The only thing I want is to admonish the waiters just lacked the final degree of profesionallisme when taking office rental price into account. There were plenty of them, they were friendly, watchful, but when you serve your food so pull it down a little in nature that you have to run around and ask who should have what, and that there are problems to find out which of the steaks are done, how a problem to solve over-there "to put a little sign in the steak.

So if there truly could be improved slightly serving (and it should not be so hard to write in order the place who ordered what), I would not be sorry to call MASH a near perfect bøfoplevelse in Denmark.

Wonderful steaks

A couple friends and I had a couple of days ago at the newly opened MASH is an abbreviation of the Modern American Steakhouse. While I waited for my companions I sat at the bar, but a classic Mint Julep (110kr), however disappointing Generation Søbogaard mint lemonade instead of fresh mint and sugar - supplied a bland taste - Damn.
My companions came in the door and we were immediately shown to the reserved table by a very friendly waiter. Space is designed as a reinterpretation of a classic American diner - ie. with stalls with sofas in red leather. Fairly soon we were served bread and butter and got a menu.
From the menu you choose a bug report. starter, and then its meat - being different types of steaks, Danish, American, Australian waqyu (Kobe-style meat), chicken, lobster or fish. In addition, some side-orders, sauce-type and possible. vegetables.
I chose a 600g bone-in ribey (370kr), which had an overwhelming fat marbling, but was still tender. Furthermore chili fries (35kr) who had too much barbecue flavor and too little chilibid but was fine and crisp green salad (40kr) were soaked with an excellent vinaigrette. The sauce was pepper-sauce with good texture and mild pepper bite. As the drink was carbonated water for 60kr bottle - a relatively large bottle to fit two people fine.
There was constant attention and competent service - Including a pair of old Umami-waiters who won at home navigate the wine menu is similar Umamis.
Despite the boring cocktail, so it was overall a nice experience and I am in the area and has good appetite looks I'll pass again.

Good steaks, less good waiters

Take all my brother with the mash tonight for a nice "we do not Christmas together in years" tonight. Delicious rooms, scale and cozy. Really good steaks (United States may well beat them) and a few good drinks.
BUT got a tomato salad when tomatoes were winter-green and ultra boring, the waiter removed them indeed and would remove them from the bill, but did not succeed him (how hard is it?). and when we had said no to dessert, there was only a second serve with dessert card and he did not ask, he did it and said "here is dessertkortret" ... slattent ...
All in all a good experience when you are not konfliktsky and like send stuff back.

Beef Steak and steak again

Finally, KBH got a really kødsted.

We got two steaks (NY strip 300 grams and 400 grams) ferrets and mushrooms with bacon and a super delicious bearnaise. In addition, a glass of wine. Altogether 645, -

A quick comparison with Jensen's steakhouse (and here it is only the price compared to food is ABSOLUTELY at opposite ends of the scale) then would two patties of 325g. and two glasses of wine cost 568, - (ie 77 - less)

So if you one day wake up and think "today is a steak-day" think "MASH" and then you just hope that they have a table to you.

It was just good P. ...

Boyfriend and I and another couple went spontaneously into MASH after receiving the last vacant board pyeh, the alternative would have been the new Tonys at Nyhavn. And where am I glad we did. Guest pair is Jutlanders with everything it entails and if I now say that they were extremely satisfied with the whole experience, it tells much about the place.

It tells, above all the meat was good, secondary to the sauce was good (bearnaise) and then to atmosphere accessories, drinks, service, price, etc. also were in order!

From here you get the damn top marks, not a finger to put on the concept.

Ate on MASH for a couple weeks ago. Everything was just in the closet. Fantastic snails, velstegt steak and top wine list. Coming back again and again.
